I was recently sent samples of Annie's Homegrown Organic Fruit Bites, which come in flavors like grape, apple, strawberry, pink lemonade, grapes galore and cherry.
Each individual pouch offers 1 full serving of fruit, and are gluten and gelatin-free. I love the tiny easy-to-grab and go packages and have thrown a few in the diaper bag and grab them on the way out the door for a quick and healthy snack. Savannah just loves the apple and strawberry flavors. And, it is great knowing that I am feeding her a healthy snack, and that with each pack, she is getting 1 daily serving of fruit. Each snack package has fun shapes for kids to play with, and they will fall in love with the delicious flavors available. You can buy these organic fruit snacks at your local grocery store or online. We will definitely be buying more of these snacks to have around the house. And, with the assortment of tasty flavors, you will not get tired of them, and it will be hard to find a favorite!
In addition to the organic fruit snacks, I was also sent Annie's Homegrown Organic Pizza Snack Mix, Organic Cheddar Snack Mix and a package of their Organic Shells and White Cheddar Mac and Cheese to try. I have tried a few of Annie's Homegrown microwave pasta's with Savannah, and she just loves them. And, they not only are they quick and easy to make, but they taste great and are healthy for her. This past weekend, I whipped together the white cheddar box I was sent and added butternut squash to it. Savannah and I couldn't stop eating it. It tasted so good, and made the house smell good as well. As for the snack mixes, Savannah loves cheddar cheese, so she was more of a fan of the cheddar snack mix, which consisted of baked cheddar crackers, buttery rich crackers and pretzels.
This and the pizza snack mix contained no artificial preservatives or ingredients, which is always a plus when I look for healthy snack to feed my daughter and family as a whole. Savannah loved the bunny shapes, and like most kids chose to bite the heads off first -- go figure!!!
My husband and I ended up snacking on the pizza snack mix while watching a movie the other night. What a great alternative to popcorn. We especially loved how the crunchy snack mix was seasoned with cheese, tomato pizza sauce flavors and Italian herbs. It felt like we were eating pizza in snack form.
Overall, my experience with Annie's Homegrown products has been extremely positive. I can't get over how many varieties of product they offer, and that each one tastes so good. After viewing their product line online, I can't wait to try their skillet meals, cereal line and additional mac and cheese pastas with my daughter.
Annie's Homegrown will surely be a staple in my pantry for now on, and I will not have to worry about checking and re-checking the nutritional labels of these products. While my daughter thinks she is just eating sweet treats, I know as a mom that she is consuming healthy and organic snacks and meals. Who could ask for anything more?
