This past Monday, I spotlighted Nicole Townend, the creator of Teddy Needs a Bath, the Best way to wash stuffed toys™ and FIRST wash and dry bag for stuffed animals.™ If you missed my interview with Nicole, click here to read it now.
Today, I wanted to share my thoughts on this great invention. I had wished they had something like this when I was growing up. When my stuffed animals got dirty, my mother would have to soak them overnight in the sink or hand wash them. And, usually, if there were set in stains, they were usually impossible to get clean. So, little by little my mother would toss my favorite teddy bears because they got too dirty to wash clean.
Now, having daughters of my own, I enjoy buying them stuffed animals and watching their imaginations run wild as they interacts with them. My daughter, Savannah’s favorite stuffed animals right now are her Elmo and Kai-Lan dolls. She carries them around the house, and never leaves the house with Elmo. So, as you can imagine, I have had to wash these toys on a number of occasions, as her sticky fingers have gotten them dirty, or she had spilled formula or food on them. Prior to receiving this wash and dry bag from Nicole to try out, I resorted to hand washing Savannah’s teddy bears, only to find myself spending hours at the sink trying my darnedest to get them clean. But, gone are those days, thanks to Nicole’s invention. Now, I simply throw the stuffed animals in this bag and drop in the washer and dryer. And, when they are removed from the dryer, they look brand new, and the stuffing is still intact and not bunched up. What a lifesaver and toy saver this product is. And, with a size of 20”x30”, this eco-friendly sack is large enough to hold a handful of stuffed animals, as well as those oversized bears that your children love so much. I especially love the zippered top. Now, I don’t have to worry about Savannah’s bears falling out of the sack during the wash and dry cycles.
If you have children at home who play with stuffed animals and are looking for a way to clean these precious toys, why not pick up a Teddy Needs a Bath wash and dry sack today.

ROSIE needs a bath! My Daughter Emma has been through a lot this year. Emma had the umbilical hernia repaired, then she had to have her tonsils out 3 weeks later. Shortly after that, she was put in to our Children's Hospital for 8 days with an infection that 1 in 10 million children will get in a year. She was very sick and came home with a pic-line for 3 weeks. Rosie was by Emma's side the whole time! I don't know if Emma would have been as strong without ROSIE! THANK YOU ROSIE for taking care of Emma this year!
ReplyDeleteMy little one has a bear named Bear that he adores. Definitely needs a bath.

My daughter's favorite toy is a white bear from Pottery Barn that my best friend gave her as a newborn. It says "My First Bear", and when I realized it was her favorite, I tried to find another one online but couldn't find any! I have had to sneak it away a few times to wash, when I could dry the bear on a hot sunny day!

He's not TOTALLY attached to that (true attachment is reserved for pacifiers) but it's his blue elephant stuffed animal that my friend gave me before he was born. I think it's b/c I put it in his crib every night for a long time. Now it has to be tucked under the covers next to him in his big boy bed.
