Deep River Snacks Kettle Chips -- The Flavor Speaks For Itself (Review and Giveaway)

I have to say with the recent fluke snow storm that hit the East Coast last week, I was glad I had Deep River Snacks on hand when the power went out again.  We had lost power the month before for a week, during Hurricane Irene, as ended up losing all the food in the refrigerator.  So, when I heard we were getting snow, I didn't stock up like I normally wold on refrigerated items.  Instead, I bought staples that could be left in pantry for easy snacking, as well as canned goods.  

But, prior to the storm hitting, I was sent a case of assorted 2oz. kettle chips, as well a few Deep River Snacks nacho and guacamole tortilla chips and baked fries to sample.  So, we were all set for when the power went out.  :-)

I was first introduced to the Deep River Snacks brand when we moved to CT four years ago.  My husband and I were attending a chili cook off, and the Deep River Snacks had a booth and were handing out samples of their kettle potato chips.  I fell in love with their chips after the first bite.  And, ever since, we have been buying their chips at the local grocery store.  And, whenever we have guests from out of town who love chips as much as us, we make sure to have an assortment of Deep River Snacks on hand for them to sample and take home with them. 

Even though I am a huge fan of Deep River Snacks Chips, I didn't have the opportunity to sample their entire kettle chip line until now.  Don't ask me what I was waiting as, as I am kicking myself in having missed out on some great tasting kettle chip flavors.  When I received the case of kettle chips to sample, I couldn't believe the flavors that were offered, including: Rosemary and olive oil, original salted, mesquite BBQ, salt and vinegar, Asian sweet and spicy, zesty jalapeno, sweet Maui onion, and cracked pepper and salt

I have to say after sampling each and every flavor sent to me, my favorites were the original salted, rosemary and olive oil and the cracked pepper and salt kettle potato chips. My husband was a fan of the zesty jalapeno and mesquite BBQ, in addition to our family favorite, the original salted kettle chip.   Together, we loved the crisp crunch of each chip, and how fresh they tasted.  We couldn't stop eating the kettle chips once the bag was opened.  And, you could definitely taste the unique flavors of each chip.  We were weary at first to try the Asian sweet and spicy chips, but ended up liking them.

I am so glad that we live in CT and can buy these tasty kettle chips whenever we want.  In addition to kettle chips, Deep River Snacks also offer popcorn, tortilla chips, baked fries and low-fat chips, so the snacking possibilities are endless.  Get ready for a satisfying chip that will have your family hooked after the first chip.  But, don't take my word for it -- pick up a bag of Deep River Snacks kettle potato chips today!
