Enviro-Log Firelogs are great for fireplaces, woodstoves, and campfires. They can be used like oak firewood and are ideal for fireplaces, masonry heaters, and woodstoves. Great for home heating, outdoor family gatherings, and wonderful for open-fire cooking.
Product Information:
-The 3 lb firelog is 7 inches long and 4 inches in diameter
-The 5 lb firelog is 11 inches long and 4 inches in diameter
-The Enviro-Log Firestarter is a simple and great way to start a fire.
Features:
Enviro-Log Firelogs are distinctive for their wide variety of applications and performance features. Because they are made from food-grade waxed old corrugated containers (WOCC), our firelogs can be used for cooking, as well as for heating and recreational purposes.
Enviro-Log Firelogs are compatible with all wood-burning appliances and can be used to enhance a wood-burning fire. Our firelogs generate more energy per pound than wood or other firelog brands.
Enviro-Log Firelogs are easier to light, burn hotter with larger, smokeless flames, and do not melt, drip, or spark because there is no added petroleum-based binder. They can be stacked and stored outdoors similar to wood and are more weather-resistant than other firelog brands.
How to Light an Enviro-Log Firelog:
- Remove firelog from wrapper and read label.
- Twist wrapper and place under firelog for kindling.
- Light ends of firelog and wrapper.
- Check and manage your fire regularly.

My Thoughts:
Living in New England, the weather is always unpredictable. Recently, it has been in the high 60's/low 70's one day and then the next it doesn't get higher than 48 degrees. With varying temperatures like these, we make sure to have firewood on hand at all times, so we can put on a fire in our woodstove. I was excited to try out the firelogs from Enviro-Log after reading about the comparisons with other firelogs (see above chart).
I am not a fan of the smell and black smoke that is usually seen when using firewood we buy locally, and with a toddler and new baby on the way, I am always looking for cleaner ways to burn wood, while not sacrificing on the heat emitted. So, Enviro-Log seemed to be the best product for my family to try out. This past weekend, I had my husband put on a fire Saturday night, while we snuggled with Savannah and our 3 rescue dogs on the couch watching a movie. I couldn't believe the difference with the Enviro-Log firelogs. There was no strong smell or crackling that came from the woodstove once he lit the logs, and throughout the burn cycle, which lasted over 3 hrs. with only one 5-lb log, I was hooked on this brand. Usually, my husband would have to get up and tend to the fire every 30-45 minutes and either add new kindling or restart the fire if the wood wasn't properly seasoned. But, not with the Enviro-Log firelog. He got up after the first half hour of it burning, only to see that the fire was going strong and the room was getting much warmer than if we had used regular kindling. You could definitely see the difference in the burn and how the room heated up quickly and stayed warm.
woodstove. Now, I don't have to worry about the health and safety of my family now that I am switching to Enviro-Log Firelogs.
