Mighty Leaf Iced Tea -- Just Because Summer is Over Doesn't Mean You Can't Savor a Nice Glass of Iced Tea (Product Review and Giveaway)

Adored by tea lovers as well as fine dining restaurants and resorts, Mighty Leaf Tea launched their new and all natural Mighty Leaf® Iced Teas this past summer.  Containing hand-blended, whole-leaf teas, luscious fruits, and aromatic herbs, Mighty Leaf’s eco-friendly Iced Tea Pouches brew half-gallon pitchers of thirst-quenching iced tea in minutes. I was recently sent samples from this new iced tea line to try out.  And, with the recent heat wave (well, not really, but anything 68 degrees or higher in September/October in New England is considered hot), I had a good reason to make a batch of iced tea and serve it at a recent mommy and me playgroup.

o   Organic Black Iced Tea:  A flavorful black iced tea made of refreshingly rich and smooth South Indian organic black tea leaves hand-picked on the dewy slopes of the Nilgiri Mountains.

o   Sunburst Green Iced Tea:  A cool and vibrant iced green tea that delivers mountain-grown Chinese green tea leaves  brightened with the crisp taste of ripe oranges and sweet citrus. The lowest in caffeine among all four flavors.

I have to say the Sunburst Green Iced Tea was my favorite of the four.  You could really taste the orange and sweet citrus flavors with each sip.  And, thanks to Mighty Leaf Tea, they sent me recipes and proper brewing instructions prior to my receiving the samples in the mail.  So, when they did arrive, I was ready to make the perfect batch of iced tea to savor.

I have been a fan of Mighty Leaf Tea and their product line for years, but was excited to hear that they were releasing their new line of iced teas this past summer.  It is hard to find the perfect iced tea that is pleasing to the palette, but Might Leaf Tea got it right with their new line.  Now, each time I have a girlfriend over, or have family over for dinner, I make sure to have on hand boxes of Mighty Leaf Tea Iced Tea to offer them.  In only 4-5 minutes of proper steeping, I have the best iced tea that I have ever tasted to offer up guests.  And, believe me, even though 1 pouch makes 64 oz. or ½ gallon , I rarely have some left to refrigerate, as either it is consumed by all, or guests ask for a take home glass.  And, how can I say, "No?"
