If you are a new mom or mom to a small child, you know how difficult it is to trim you child's nail. My daughter can't sit still long enough for me to even attempt to trim her nails, which seem to grow daily. I have to stay on top of trimmings -- if not, she will cut her face when she rubs or plays with it. So, every night (or other night, depending on how tired I am), I will wait until she goes to bed and then trim him fingernails and toenails. As not to wake her, I use dim lights, which really don't help when seeing her small nails.
I am so grateful for Laurie Gadbois' invention, the Baby Light & Clip® Nail Clippers. Now, I can trim Savannah's nails with use of nail clippers that have a light built in. I know many moms/grandparents are reading this and thinking where was this product from my child(ren) were younger. It would have made trimming your child's nails so much easier, and less stressful.
If you are expecting, know someone who is, or have young children, I highly suggest you pick up Laurie's nail clippers today. You will thank her for it, after you are able to tackle nail trimming in half of the time -- and, don't have to worry about clipping more than just a nail in the cloak of darkness.
One lucky Inspired by Savannah reader will win a free Baby Light & Clip® Nail Clippers of their own. In order to enter for your chance to win, simply respond back to this post with your email address. At 11:59PM EST on 4/30/2011, I will draw a winner from the USA.
And, now I would like to share my interview the inventor of the Baby Light & Clip® Nail Clippers, Laurie Gadbois. Enjoy!

Briefly explain your business. How did it come about?
Like most new Moms I faced many challenges. One of those was trimming my son, Tor‘s, nails. He didn’t like to stay still and the difficulty of seeing his tiny nail’s, made it an ongoing struggle… So, I turned to the internet for answers. Most pediatricians said, “It is best to trim a baby’s nails while they are sleeping.” It was difficult enough to see his tiny nails in the daylight, much less in a dark or dimly lit room…

Talking to moms, they told me horror stories of how they had accidentally cut they’re child’s finger using conventional nail clippers because they also struggled with seeing and keeping their child still while trimming.
Knowing that other parents shared this same problem sparked my idea, “Why doesn’t someone make a nail clipper for babies with a light on it!” Voila, Baby Light & Clip® was born! Having a passion for a product that makes parents life easier has been very rewarding. Now, parents worldwide find clipping their child's nails safe, easy, fun and painless!
