About the Creators:
The SmartSeat was created when our co-founder, Becky, bought a new dining room set and couldn’t find a simple, waterproof, and attractive protective cover for her chairs. She didn’t want sticky vinyl covers that flopped over the seat and squeaked when sat on. And, having purchased fabric upholstery that she loved, she didn’t want a slipcover that would completely change the look of the chairs. Armed with scissors and a stapler (she can’t sew!), she fashioned the first SmartSeat.
