If you missed my Spotlight on Mommy interview with Amy Bergin this past week, click here to read it now. Amy is the creator of the Couponizer. The Couponizer is more than just a coupon holder or book, but a whole system of tools designed for consistent savings you can take to the bank
Have you ever seen that couponing show on TLC, where the people use coupons and get $1000's of dollars in groceries for less than $100 (usually $50 or less)? I am always in ah in how they do this. And, they don't have 1 cart -- they have 6+ carts, that they enlist family and friends to help push and load the groceries in their cars. And, then when they get home, they put most of their recently bought groceries into a pantry, or empty room(s) in their house, which they call their stock pile. If you haven't seen this so, you must! But, let me warn you, it is addicting, as you can't get over how much product a person can buy for so little. I find myself stressing like the shoppers, when they are at checkout, watching the total go down with each coupon scanned it. On occasion, the register either freezes from too many coupons, or the cashier doesn't ring things up properly, so the shopper freaks out, as they only expected to spend "X" dollars.
I am a coupon user, but not to this extreme. I am lucky if I can save 20-30% off my total purchase. My mother introduced me to couponing as as child, when I would tag along grocery shopping with her. I was amazed that she could save money buying items she had coupons for. And, usually the coupons she had were for products we hadn't tried yet -- many, which a young child would consider a treat.
And, now that I am stay-at-home, I am always looking for ways to save money when it comes to buying things for the family and house -- Using coupons helps me do just that! Are you a coupon user? If so, how much do you usually save? How do you organize your coupons? I have a binder I keep my coupons in, and then at the end of each month, I go through them and toss the expired ones. But, I have found that the tabs I create to separate my coupons wear away, or if I am in a rush, just throw my coupons into miscellaneous folders, not paying attention to organizing properly. As a result, I have been on the lookout for a better organizing system. Then, I stumbled across the Couponizer, and fell in love. This is what I have been searching for. And, when Amy Bergin, the creator of The Couponizer Company kindly sent me the Couponizer to review, I couldn't wait to try it out.

I have been using this coupon organizer/system for the past couple of weeks, and am so happy with it. I am finding that when it comes to planning my weekly shopping list, and pulling the coupons needed for each grocery visit, that the Couponizer is helping to keep me sane by keeping me organized and on track.
If you are a life-long couponer, or just starting out, I highly suggest that you check out Amy's product line. Her products really make the art of couponing fun again, while keeping you sane on the organizing end of it. Since using your organizer, I am finding that I am saving more, and not spending extra time fumbling through a binder, like I had in the past, just to find and hand over my coupons to the cashier. And, I am loving the shopping list that is included with the Couponizer set. Sometimes I find that either I am too tired to food shop, or just can't make it to the market, as one of the girls is not feeling well. So, this is when I send my husband to do the grocery shopping for me. In the past, I would send him, only to have him return with half the items from my list. He would say he couldn't find the items or just forgot. But, with these handy shopping list sheets, I can break down the items needed by the aisle. How great is that? Since I began using these lists when sending my husband to the store, he is only forgetting 1-2 items, instead of half. The Couponizer would make for a great gift for new moms, new brides, or those interested in joining the couponing craze!
