My Thoughts:
I was sent samples of Sogno's Vento and Sole whole bean coffees to share as part of my Valentine's Day gift giving guide. Unfortunately, due to a few family emergencies that arose, I was not able to try out each coffee in time to include in my guide.  And, instead of sharing a general post on these coffees, I wanted to make sure I took the time to tell you how great they actually are, as well as offer you a chance to try a bag through a giveaway, thanks to the folks at Sogno Coffee. 
With two young children under the age of 2 at home, I turn to caffeine, preferably strong coffee in the early AM, after a night of up and down with feedings and diaper changing.  Recently, I have noticed that brands that I have been drinking for years are beginning to slack in the flavor department.  Once strong coffees seem to pack the fresh roasted bean scent and strong kick when brewed.  And, the once full bags of coffee are now winding up on store shelves half full/empty -- however you want to look at it.  Even though you are getting less product, they are still charging you the same price, or sometimes more.  As a result, I have begun looking for a new coffee roaster to help me start my busy days on the right foot.  So, when I was given the opportunity to review Sogno Coffee, I jumped at the opportunity and made sure to request their bold and strong flavored coffees. 
My husband also looks for a bold coffee or espresso shot in the early AM to get him going, and keep him alert on his drive into the office.  We began our review of Sogno Coffee with their Sole brand.  What impressed us the most was the smell of the freshly roasted coffee beans, as well as the plump size of each bean.  In recent months I had noticed other whole beans we were purchasing were getting smaller and looked dried out -- which didn't help to make them appealing to grind and brew.  But, when you need a cup of jo in the AM, you make do with what you have on it.  That is until we welcomed Sogno Coffee into our house.  The first cups we ground and brewed left an amazing aroma drifting up from our coffee cups. And, as we picked up our cups and raised them to our mouths, we couldn't help but smile in unison at we took in a whiff of this bold coffee.  By the end of the cup, we were both alert and ready to tackle the day.  Due to the freshness of these whole coffee beans, once ground and brewed, it didn't leave a funny aftertaste in our mouths, like other coffees have in the past. 
Last week, we ground and consumed the Vento beans each morning.  Even a week after being freshly roasted, they still looked and tasted like they were just roasted.  I found this coffee bean to be stronger and pack a bigger jolt of energy/caffeine, while my husband kept insisting that the Sole flavor was stronger. Either way, we both agreed that Sogno Coffee didn't disappoint when it came to providing the right amount of flavor and kick to our morning jo.  And, since running out of coffee beans this weekend, we ended up picking up a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop, only to be disappointed by the flavor profile of their so-called bold coffee.  I guess we were spoiled by the amazing taste and freshness that we began to grow accustomed to thanks to Sogno Coffee. We will definitely be buying more freshly roasted coffee from Sogno Coffee in the near future.
