Ballreich's -- Serving up Tasty Potato Chips and Snack Foods Since 1920 (Review and Giveaway)

I have been in chip heaven since Valentine's Day, when I received the above gift basket from Ballreich's.  Potato chips are my weakness!  And, as soon as bag is brought into our house, you either have to hide it from me, or get ready to eat quick, as I can't eat just one.

Back when my husband and I began dating, he surprised me one Valentine's Day with the Potato Chip Club of the Month membership, where I received a box of assorted potato chips each month for 3 months.  Most of the time, I received chips from companies I had never heard of, but was surprised to find that they each had their own tasty qualities that I fell in love with.  And, since them, whenever I visit a new state, I have to pay a visit to their supermarket chip aisle and pick up a few bags of their local potato chip favorites available.  

Prior to Valentine's Day, I was reminiscing with my husband about past Valentine's Day, and how we celebrated, compared to recent years now that we have children.  My husband reminded me about the chips. Since that conversation, I was on the hunt for potato chip companies that I had either never heard about or sampled their chips.  And, this is when I stumbled up the Ballreich's.  I remembered a college friend mentioning this company, as they were from Ohio, but I had never tried their potato chips.  I have to say that what first drew me to their brand, was that they offered chocolate covered potato chips and pretzels.  And, as many of you know, I am a huge chocoholic.  I was in heaven just thinking about pairing chocolate and potato chips.  So, when I reached out to the company inquiring about a review and giveaway opportunity, I was excited when they wanted to work with me in sharing their potato chips.  The kind folks at Ballreich's sent me their Special All Occasion Gift Basket (pictured above and valued at $15.00), and within days I devoured each and every bag that made up this plentiful basket (with the help of my husband, of course!).  We both had favorite flavors. I liked the hot and sassy chips, along with their baked chips, while my husband was a fan of the Bar-B-Q and Salt and Vinegar Chips.  That is not to say that the other flavors sent weren't tasty -- they were -- as we didn't even leave crumbs behind!!!  What make sampling Ballreich's potato chips so memorable is that I received this gift basket on Valentine's Day, just like I had been surprised over 10 years ago with a potato chip gift basket from my now-husband.  So, when the girls went to bed, my husband and I snuggled on the couch, watched a movie and ate Ballreich's potato chips.  This will definitely be a Valentine's Day to remember!
