My Thoughts:

With the holidays brings joy and happiness.  But, it also causes people to feel depressed and lonely.  For those looking for a boost to there mood, this inspirational book in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series would be a great read for them.  Even if you are not sad, you will take comfort in this book and find a great happiness reading about how others found their own happiness through tragedy, illness, despair, etc.  The book opens with a story of hope from a young girl with terminal cancer.  You would think knowing that your days were limited, would make you depressed and not want to get out of bed. But, not for Angela Sayers.  She not only created a bucket list of things she wanted to accomplish, like being published in the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, but also shared her exceptional writing skills with the word with piece, My Epiphany, where she shared her recipe for happiness.  Having battled stage 2 cancer myself a few years back, I could relate to some of the feelings Angela had in the beginning when she found out she had cancer.  But, with the love of support of family and friends, one draws strength to plow forward and regain a new sense of happiness, that is cherished daily.  I couldn’t help but tear up reader her piece, and knowing that her wish of being published came true.  Then, at the end of the book, the book closes with a letter she wrote and left for family and friends, as she passed away back on July 15, 2011.

If you are on the search of happiness, or lost your way, this book will help point you in the right directions through inspirational stories of those who chose to follow their passions to find their true purpose in live.  With this purpose came joy and happiness that made each person who shared their story in this book, a stronger and more positive person.

Overall, this was a great read, and one that would be worth reading as we begin the new year.  Let Chicken Soup for the Soul’s, Find Your Happiness help you reclaim what you may have lost along the way – true bliss!
